At On The Floor® (OTF), our mission is to provide you with an exceptional experience, whether you’re taking part in one of our competitions, workshops, or events. We hope the information below will answer any questions you may have about our various events.


Competition Information

Fees are released to studio owners and competition directors only.

We do not offer refunds. For further information, please contact your studio director.

If you notice a mistake on the schedule, please contact your studio director and have them email us at schedule@onthefloor.ca.

Your studio director will provide you with information about what time you should arrive at the competition. We ask that dancers are ready to perform at least one hour prior to their scheduled time, as we tend to run early.

All studio directors or representatives must register at the OTF check in table. There, you will receive your competition ID, specific dressing room assignment, a complimentary program, and other goodies!

Yes. Your studio director will provide you with this information.

No form of liquid, gel, aerosol, or glitter that can affect the dancing surface may be used. Any kind of weapon (real or fake) is strictly prohibited. Props that could be unsafe or are over six feet tall must be approved.

Please check with the Stage Manager, located backstage, when you arrive.

Taking photos and videos is prohibited while dancers are performing. You are, however, welcome to take photos and videos during the awards ceremonies.

You can check which number we are on by using the DanceBUG app.

At most venues, there will be a snack bar open. Otherwise, an OTF crew member assist you with locations of the closest available food vendors.

We accept cash, debit, and credit cards for all merchandises purchases.

The Ultimate Battle is on Sunday after the regular competition finishes.

Studio directors will receive a tentative Ultimate Battle schedule on Saturday night. A final Ultimate battle schedule will be given to studio directors at lunch on Sunday.

Yes! Everyone who performs at an OTF competition receives an award.

All audio/video judges’ critiques will be sent to the studios.

We post a random selection of photos from every event, at which a professional photographer is present.


Workshop Information

We currently offer a variety of exciting workshops – two of which being our Summer Intensive and Back 2 Basics workshops.

Event Information

We plan and execute two major events in support of SickKids each year – our SickKids Gala and #Giveback Video Shoot (formerly Dance-A-Thon).
